Soundwise is an audio content distribution platform for content creators to send audio materials to exclusive groups of audience. The Soundwise application, including all Soundwise websites and mobile applications (collectively, the “Application”), are owned, operated and distributed by Soundwise, Inc., a Delaware corporation (referred to in this document as “Sounwise” or “we” and through similar terms such as “us”, “our”, etc). This privacy policy governs your use of any part of the Application.


What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?


User Provided Information


The Application obtains the information you provide when you register with the Application. When you register with us and use the Application (for example, signing up as a publisher or subscribing to a soundcast), you generally provide your name, email address, password and other registration information.


We may use the information you provided us to contact your from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.


The information we receive does not include your credit card information. Stripe processes all of the transactions on Soundwise, and the information you provide to Stripe is subject to its privacy policy. We do not receive any of the credit card information you provide to Stripe.


Automatically Collected Information


When you register with our mobile applications, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.


In addition, we may collect information of your listening patterns, including, but not limited to, duration and frequency of your listening and names of the items you listen to. We may share this information with the publishers you subscribe to, in order for them to monitor their content consumption and training performance.


We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our Application, and to analyze traffic patterns on the Application. We may use cookies, web beacons and similar technology to deliver content specific to your interests and to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit. We may also use web beacons and similar technology in emails that we send to you in order to track whether the emails have been opened. In addition, our web servers may track information about the visits to the Application. For example, we may compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to the Application. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to the public and may also be provided to others.


Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?


Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Application and our service. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.


We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
  • In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign the information we have collected from users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors' rights generally, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.
  • The Application is hosted in the United States and is intended for and directed to users in the United States. If you are accessing the Application from any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, please be advised that through your continued use of the Application, which is governed by United States law, this Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Application, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you consent to that transfer.
  • California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of the Application who are California residents to request certain information regarding its disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. What are my opt-out rights?


You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application and/or logging out of your account. Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information


We will retain User Provided data and Automatically Collected information for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.




We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.




We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.




This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States.
