About this Soundcast
Every morning, you'll receive a fresh, new devotional created especially to walk alongside you at the start of your day. Each episode includes:
- A Clear Bible Verse. Drawn from a trusted public-domain translation of the Bible—timeless wording that has encouraged readers for generations, yet remains clear and accessible today. The language is simple but profound, designed to be understood effortlessly, wherever you listen.
- A Slow-Paced Reflection. With patience and calm, we explore how to apply Scripture to everyday situations: family relationships, work, emotional health, daily decision-making, and how to maintain strong faith amidst practical challenges. I speak slowly so you can follow every word, absorb the concepts, and at the same time improve your comprehension of Brazilian Portuguese.
- Diverse Topics. From how to start your morning with gratitude to managing stress at work, from nourishing your spiritual life to caring for your physical and mental well-being. Everything connected with Bible verses and presented in clear language for A0-A2 level students.
- A Closing Prayer. Each episode closes with a brief prayer that summarizes what was learned and helps you carry those principles with you for the rest of the day. It's a moment of spiritual connection that also reinforces key vocabulary.
- A Reflection Question. As the episode closes, a single thoughtful question invites you to make the content your own —turning today's Scripture and prayer into something you can meditate on quietly, write about in your journal, or simply hold in mind as you move forward through your day.
This is not just a devotional—it's your daily companion for growing in two areas that matter: your relationship with God and your mastery of Brazilian Portuguese.

YOUR GUIDE
Abnel Rodríguez C.
About Your Guide
Hello! I'm Abnel and for over 25 years I have dedicated my career to helping people learn, grow, and succeed —in offices, virtual sessions, and in life. As a multilingual educator and learning professional with a Master's degree in Instructional Design from the University of Central Florida (UCF), I have trained thousands of people in fields ranging from healthcare to technology. But beyond the titles, I have walked the path that many of you travel: navigating job transitions, facing layoffs, and rediscovering hope in uncertain times.
My passion has three deep roots: my faith, my love for languages, and teaching.
As a committed believer since childhood, I have nurtured my spirit through daily devotionals since my adolescence. Those quiet moments with Scripture each morning are the heart of my life. They sustain me, guide me, and increasingly have become the foundation of what I offer here.
Today, I serve at Lagoinha Orlando Church —a Brazilian Christian Community in Florida, USA— as a volunteer in the English and Translation ministries. And as someone fluent in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, I understand deeply how language shapes our capacity to connect —with opportunities, communities, and with the Word of God itself.
That's why I created this soundcast. Not just to teach Spanish, but to walk with you both in faith and fluency. Each devotional is created fresh in the morning —rooted in Scripture, spoken slowly for A0-A2 level students, and designed to help you grow spiritually while building the language skills that open doors.
You are not alone on this journey. Whether you seek strength for your soul or tools for your next professional move, I have the honor of being your companion, one devotional at a time.
“So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalms 90:12, WEB)
