In A Brief History of Fascist Lies, historian Federico Finchelstein traces how deceit and propaganda lie at the heart of fascist rule — from Mussolini and Hitler to modern authoritarian figures. He shows that lies are not side-effects of fascism but fundamental tools to build movements, silence dissent, and reshape reality for mass audiences. By connecting twentieth-century regimes to today’s populist and autocratic leaders, Finchelstein offers a concise but penetrating guide to how lies corrode democracies—and how citizens can recognize and resist them.

Narrated by Edoardo Ballerini, the audiobook runs approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes in its unabridged form.
