While some forms of meditation require us to shut out the outside world, a yoga nidra guided meditation practise gives us the opportunity to be proactive with sensations, emotions, and thoughts.

Through meditative guidance and mindful breathing, the yoga nidra technique stimulates a relaxation response in the body to calm the mind and induce a state of deep relaxation, allowing you to naturally and effortlessly disengage from your thoughts. It is also known as sleep meditation.

The hardest thing that you’re going to have to do is to stay awake, and even if you do fall asleep, you’ll still get the benefits.

Yoga nidra is a simple way to de-stress. This practice will soothe and calm your nervous system; with regular practise, your limiting beliefs will lose its charge and your programmed mind is turned off as present moment awareness increases.
