The Everything Genetic Genealogy Podcast

Investigative Genetic Genealogy can quickly and easily identify your person of interest, be it a family member or a felon. Forensic Genetic Genealogist Christine Burke discusses how DNA can solve cases to find family or find suspects and how you can help!

Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG or FGG) is the next best thing since sliced bread, including finding your family (adopted, NPE or otherwise), finding your suspect (police and law enforcement) or identifying the unknown deceased.

How do I know this? After my career as a major case detective and police sergeant I got a big dose of DNA drama myself. After a brief pity party trying to figure out why this happened to me, the lightbulb went on. I knew it was because I was meant to use Genetic Genealogy and my law enforcment experience to continue my work on cold cases and train others to do the same.

You see, I am what is called an NPE (Non-Parent Expected). Not only me, but my mother too. I also found three half siblings and many adopted and confused children along the way. That's a lot of family trees. But it's all worth it because I know what it means when you don't know who you are or who you are looking for. It's soul crushing!

Having been a major case detective, I understand the stress of not being able to solve a case, having no answers for supervisors, or worse yet, a greiving family. It's daunting.

I'm excited to have you join us on the podcast where we discuss how Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy is being used in law enforcment and to find family members.

We also will speak to experts in the field of the science and the psychology. And, most importantly we will speak for those who can't speak for themselves, those who have left us but remain unidentified.

Support us as we aim to sponsor at least one member of each police department so that they can learn this technology and implement it as a crime solving technique.

Thank you!
