YOUR GUIDE

Kevin Cuccaro, DO
As an online “physicianpreneur,” Dr. Kevin Cuccaro produced his first podcast (Straight Shot Health Talk) in 2013, and his first web-based course in 2014. His particular interest lies in the application of science, education, marketing, and technology to answer the question of, “How can we disrupt traditional healthcare care models to deliver transformative care?”

As a physician, Dr. Cuccaro is a fellowship-trained specialist and expert on the science of pain and stress. He attended The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, performed his residency in anesthesiology at The University of Chicago, completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Michigan, and served as associate program director of the Naval Medical Center San Diego’s Pain Medicine Fellowship program. His unique ability is deconstructing complex pain science to make it understandable, useful, and actionable for clinicians and patients.

Dr. Cuccaro was a 2016-17 Oregon Health Authority Clinical Innovations Fellow and served on the Oregon Health Authority Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) and the HERC Chronic Pain Task Force. He continues to apply his unique skillset to health-related endeavors through State and Regional commissions/task forces working to improve pain, opioid, and trauma care services.
