Video notes:
On unknown collections:
Today we're going over how to use fcra section 623 violations to remove unknown collections from a credit report for failure to enter identifying information and an address. You can access free credit repair resources at https://hub.my740.com (or schedule a credit sweep call with me at https://my740.com). Link for the Coaching Program: https://form.nativeforms.com/yUlbH1jZmoXNHRWb50Db Video notes: You may find quite a few instances of the credit bureaus reporting collections without a collector name, original creditor name, or an address. This is a violation of FCRA 623, which states that an account cannot report with known errors UNLESS there's an address to dispute conspicuously listed on the credit report. I show you what an incorrectly reported collection looks like, as well as one reported accurately with an address that would otherwise need to be disputed using a different tactic. I also show you what the dispute reason might look like for a case like this. FCRA 623 states that an address does NOT have to be reported if there are no errors and that the account has not been disputed before (from my understanding of it), but that if there's been a confirmation of errors or known errors, or the account MIGHT be reported in error, an address must be reported. Confusing, right? Hopefully, my explanation in this video will clear this up and give you a better understanding of how removing unknown and unidentifiable collections works and how to use FCRA 623 to do it!
On 609 templates:
If you're wondering how to write the perfect credit dispute lettere, then this is the video to watch because I'm going to explain and show why you do NOT want to use templates and to stop using section 609 dispute letters. Learn more at https://vault.my740.com or schedule a call with me today for a credit sweep at https://my740.com Writing dispute letters shouldn't be hard, but there's definitely a formula to get the best results! What's the secret, you ask? SIMPLICITY! Pretend you're explaining this to a child. (Error in video: Cushman v TransUnion 1997) If you want to write a letter to the credit bureaus that works, if you want to remove charge-offs, repos, collections, bankruptcies, foreclsoures, tax liens, judgements, late payments and whatever else I missed in this list, then you need to get smart and write simply. Problem with templates: A computer will determine that your dispute is a template after it matches the letter one of the others in their database. Everything is automatically "verified" and now you're back at square one. Seriously! Video notes: Why you don’t want to use 609 templates or any dispute letter templates at all: You will want to take the actual purpose behind this and put it into regular terms, because when the Bureau's get this dispute letter, they're going to match it against millions of other dispute letters that have been mailed by consumers just like you and it will be verified as accurate by the credit bureaus without an investigation. What’s a dispute letter template? It's a pre written letter that you're going and putting your information on, whether you change some stuff or not. Take five seconds and write your own dispute letter. Use a simple paragraph. For example, today's one of the worst days of my life, I thought I'd get this mortgage. And instead, I get a three page report full of inaccuracies and accounts that don't belong here.
