So, in Episode One, what I want to cover is ... What is optimisation?
It's a question that I get asked a lot. It's also a question I’ve asked clients over the last few decades, what they think optimisation is.
Invariably, the response I get is …
“... it’s about, you know, oh, it's about going full throttle, you know, going full, pelt, 100% …”
… and, you know, it actually isn't that!
What optimisation is, is in part the ability to go that way. It's the ability to go full throttle if you need to, but it can be a whole lot more.
So let's break down what optimisation really is and in this episode I'll tell you a little bit about how one of my past clients ran into problems, because he had this attitude of going full tilt, or going full throttle was optimisation.
As I’ve indicated, optimisation is about being able to go full throttle … if you need to. Really though it’s about being able to respond to opportunities when they arise either because they simply come across your path or because you create them
It's also about being able to respond when something happens that you don't expect, and you're actually vulnerable to. Especially the ones you're most vulnerable to because they are a blind spot for you.
Depending on your level of optimisation in your business or in your life (because you can be optimised in life and optimised in business and across many different areas) you will either respond to those situations really well or you will flutter around. In the cases of the ones which could have a negative impact you may not ever recover.
Listen to or watch the episode for an example of a past client who didn’t have the best outcome because he would acknowledge that he needed to optimise and so he didn’t optimise.
