I am a medical Spanish instructor and a medical interpreter. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language and more than 10 specialized in medical Spanish. I have taught courses at the University of Michigan Medical School (Ann Arbor, MI) and Childrens' National Hospital (Washington DC). My goal is to bridge the gap between medical providers and their Spanish-speaking patients. My experience as a medical Spanish instructor, and especially the direct contact with providers and patients as a medical interpreter, give me the ability to design my own materials and create the courses, knowing what my students need: Specific terminology and questions, and useful phrases to use with the patients.
